The Noll's March 22, 2003 Crash
5. Our New 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan Minivan The Oregon State Policeman came to the Willamette-McKenzie Hospital to take our statement. He was very professional and helpful. Bernice's brother Rodney arrived to take us home after treatment at the hospital. Monday he drove us to the DMV to file an accident report and to get our personal stuff out of the totaled van. We obtained a rental car from Enterprise car rental. They drove out to the house to pick us up. Bernice and I called some car dealers to find a replacement van. On Thursday we bought this 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan from Kendall Auto. We needed a vehicle with AWD, "All Wheel Drive", due to our steep gravel driveway to our house. Bernice was quite happy with the new van although she would have preferred a different color. It has all the features of our old van. The old van had 130,000 miles on it. I should add that the Dodge van we had before the 1994 totaled van had lasted us for 34 years and some 330,000 miles before we donated it to the Salvation Army. It was still running at that time.
