Bernice had this picture taken for use in getting a job after graduation at Linfield College. She graduated in 1951 from Linfield. She got her first job teaching in The Dalles in the High School there. She taught English, Spanish and Theater even though she knew little Spanish. She had to teach Spanish because she was low man on the totem pole.
