Bernice Chase Noll Growing Up 65. Bernice with Bummer Lamb That year, about 1941 a pack of dogs attacked some of our sheep on the island in the McKenzie. A number of the ewes died and Dad brought back the bummer lambs to the house, It became my job to save them by feeding them with bottles of milk. I had to this before going to school and after school. I liked that. They were my pets and liked to play hid-and-go-seek with me. One of the lambs we gave to my good friend Betty Brown. ⇦ Back to Page 64 On to Page 66 ⇨Return to Bernice Growing Up - Page 8 |
