44. Jo and John Beard

Jo is the youngest of the two girls in the family. Here she poses with her son John. As a young boy I had spent a number of weeks with Jo while my mother, Myra, finished her college degree. She was always kind to me and taught me many things. She and Mom were great friends. Her husband John Beard drove up to Fort Ord to get me home for Christmas when I came back from Korea on the 23rd of December.
