Howard Wilson Crawford Born August 1 1835. Married Elizabeth Marshal, Oct 17 in Pike County GA. She was born Nov. 5, 1833. He died at Calisburg Texas, June 11 1904. She died at Calisburg, TX Sept. 26 1900. Both are buried in Union Hill Cemetary, Southeast of the village of Calisburg TX. Howard Wilson Crawford came to Texas before the Civil War. He was in the Confederate Army, acting as Captain much of the time. He was wounded in shin of his leg, from which he never fully recovered. Was active but had to keep wound bandaged. Farmed near Calisburg. Old place is about 2 miles south of the village. House is gone. His siblings were Josiah Crawford, Sam Crawford, Andrew Crawford and Rebecca Crawford Steger.

James Crawford, died in youth.
Robert Crawford, lived at Calisburg. Worked in oilfields of New Mexico. Died at truth of Consequences , NM in 1957.
Wright W. Crawford, worked in Texas oilfields. Retired and died in Montebello CA,
Minnie Crawford Crumly, born in Calisburg TX Married Lee Moss. After he died married Mr. Crumly. She is now deceased. Had one daughter.
Henry Scott Crawford, born September 29, 1865. Married Mary Lou (Mamie) Abernathy, Nov. 29, 1892. Lived in Hill County, taught school and farmed 14 years. Taughtin Hill County and Floyd County. Lived near Lockney Floyd County from 1903 to 1905. Moved to Winters, Runnels County and lived there until 1921. Carried mail several years. Moved to Los Angeles, California in 1921. Died in Los Angeles August 28, 1930.
Children of Henry Scott Crawford
Roy Leslie Crawford, born March 3 1894, at old Rockwall School, near Itasca, TX. Lived at home until 1917. Married Ava Pace. Carried mail 9 years. Entered Methodist ministry Nov. 1924. Retired to Winters TX and died there. Had no children.
