11. Our Gosling Crop

Bernice collected the goose eggs and put them into our incubator. She needed to turn them every four hours and sprinkle them with water. Testing them to remove the dead eggs or ones that did not get fertilized she hatched out a number of goslings. These we sold as pairs, male and female. We got a book from our congressman on how to tell the difference. Once we delivered some up in the Sacramento Valley and flew them up in our plane. While talking to the control tower by radio in the plane the geese make a lot of noise. The tower asked me if we had passed a flock of geese.
