14. Living Room in Hayward

Here is the young couple in their front room at their home at Broadmore house in Hayward California. The paintings are some that Bernice had done in college at Linfield. She had graduated on 1951. 43 years later Paul would graduate from Linfield also. In front of them is a coffee table both of them made from driftwood they found on the beach in Oregon. We still have that table today. We had the glass cut for the table. Bernice had to sit in the back seat of the car so the wood could ride in the front seat driving back from Oregon. A Japanese glass float complete with a piece of netting they found on the coast sits at the base of the table.
