25. Chet with Grandmother Veda Chase

Bernice's Mother often came to visit especially when the children were first born to help. She loved the boys very much and was very good with them. Chet has with him one of his favorite stuffed animals, named "Tigger." Bernice and I made a dozen of these stuffed animals for all Chet's cousins. Bernice loved the "Winnie the Pooh" stories and read to the boys often. Veda lived for some 30 years later and was very good to both of us and most generous. Some of our furniture we have today were things she gave us. She would give us some money and insist we buy some good things and could not just save the money. She was a wonderful Mother-in-Law.
