Paul Noll Growing Up 132. Cowboy Paul Noll When we lived in Arlington California, a man came door to door with a pony taking pictures. To my great delight and wonderment my Mom said yes. I remember that it cost $5. I got to dress up as a cowboy and ride on the pony. Chaps, hat, kerchief and all the trappings. I was in cowboy heaven. It was a most exciting day for me. I dreamed about for a long time. I was thrilled. I would wait until 1951 in Korea until I would ride again. There we captured a Chinese horse and I rode him until I couldn't stand up, I was so sore from the old saddle. When I got back to the States my little brother Loren talked me into taking him for a horse ride. ⇦ Back to Page 131 On to Page 133 ⇨Hi-Res Pic (92K) Return to Paul Growing Up - Page 17 |
