Paul Noll Growing Up 28. Mom's New 1940 Chevrolet In my Mom's things I found an invoice where she had bought this car. It cost about $946. She noted she had bought it with her typing money earned by typing papers for students at USC. She had earned the money at 21 cents per page. That meant she had typed about 4,700 pages to buy that car. We'd had a 1930 Nash sedan she traded in. We were all so proud of our new car. ⇦ Back to Page 27 On to Page 29 ⇨Hi-Res Pic (99K) Return to Paul Growing Up - Page 4 |
