48. Noll Boys at Clear Lake

Donald, (Later called Mark) and Paul enjoy a swim in Clear Lake in Washington. It was a few miles from Eatonville where we went to school. Donald is on the left and Paul is on the right. It was a fun summer and we could swim whenever we wanted. The lake was in our back yard. We had an old rowboat we fixed up and we found some old oars. We taught ourselves how to row the boat. Later we moved into town in an apartment above a garage. Crawford got a job cleaning the bank in the evenings at the age of 12. We had a key to the bank. I helped him sometimes. I had a job delivering the Seattle PI newspaper. I also worked at the local department store and the local phone company.
