Paul Noll Growing Up
67. Noll Boys on Their Bikes I found out one day about a farmer out of town that had a Marion Berry farm. He sold the berries at 2 cents a pound, you pick. I would ride my bike out there and pick lots of berries. My Mom would drive the car out later to transport them back home. I would then load them on my wagon and sell for 35 cents a basket. Later I hired some other boys to pick for me and paid them 3 cents a pound for picking. I made lots of money that all went into the bank. To me I was just having fun. I also worked at he local diner as a waiter and handyman. ⇦ Back to Page 66 On to Page 68 ⇨Hi-Res Pic (76K) Return to Paul Growing Up - Page 9 |
