6. Veda and Chet Chase

At least once a year we traveled to Oregon to visit Bernice's parents, Chester (everyone called him Chet) and Veda Chase. We would spend some time canning and some time camping on the Coast. They always showed us much kindness. Chet didn't like the smell of vinegar when we canned pickles but he ignored it for a time for our benefit. Here they see us off returning home to California.
