3. We do a Flyover at Garberville Airport

Before landing at an unattended airport we do a flyover to check out the situation at the airport. You want to make sure the runway is not blocked, no livestock have wandered on the runway and the general wind conditions there. We have a look giving the situation at the airport, the length and condition of the runway. This will tell you if the runway has been paved and whether it has lights and whether gas can be purchased. It also indicates the location by radio direction indicators and if any attended radio transmitters are at the field.
