Paul Noll Learns to Fly 12. Paul Takes Pilot Test with FAA Examiner I flew to this area with a FAA flight Examiner to be tested for my license. One of the test involved flying in a circle over one of the ponds in three circles. You must not deviate more than so many feet in the circle and nor lose or gain more than 50 feet. The test lasted for about an hour. I did several landings and conducted a preflight test and weight and balance check. After about an hour he told me if I could land with him still alive he would sign my ticket. But when we got to Oakland he asked if he could land the plane. I silently said "Thank you Lord" and down we went. I now had a pilots license. I took the test in a Cessna 150 Aerobat. ⇦ Back to Scene 11 On to Scene 13 ⇨Hi-Res Pic (111K) Return to Pilot License Page 2 |
