Paul Noll Living in Georgia - Scene 1 Frances Rachel Noll In 1949 I finished 16 weeks of basic training at Fort Ord, California. They then assigned me to transfer to Fort Monmouth, New Jersey to attend a signal school on electronics. After 56 weeks of training the Army transferred me to the 581st Signal Radio Relay Company at Camp Gordon in Augusta, Georgia in May of 1950. A few months there I married a young lady Frances Rachel Bridges. About six week later the Korean War started and my unit was fast-tracked off to Korea. I was very busy with the war in North Korea. My wife informed me of a daughter that had been born about 8 months later. About a month later while I still fought the war in Korea she sued me for divorce and I never saw her again. ⇦ Back to Scene 16 On to Scene 2 ⇨Return to Page 1 |
