A Colossal Giant

This venerable giant most likely has outlived many of its contemporaries. As its limbs became longer in their attempt to get their share of life giving light they became heavier older and weaker. Some then began to rest on the ground rather than break and die. I live in a retirement community where we get some help in some required activities. First we walk a little slower, no more running. A few years later we see some canes appear to help in our walking. After some more time a walker is used to help. If we're lucky in some future time a wheelchair to help. Then for the faithful the good Lord comes to gather us up into his bosom. Like this old venerable giant it will give up its life some day and be replaced with a new young sprout. So we will by some new child born into this wonderful world. The cycle continues.
