Korean Family Goes Home

We sometimes forget some of the real casualties of war, the civilian population. Here some Korean people try to return home. They have crossed the Han river on a boat. The main bridge has been blown down in the fighting. A mother labors up the bank with her baby on her back while her husband carries all their belongings but still assists her up the bank. It was hard for me to see such scenes and not be moved to tears. We tried to help when we could.

Children are the anchors that hold a mother to life.
