George Burke - My Stay at the Lark Ellen Home for Boys - 1962- 1965

My name is George Bourke. I was a resident of the Lark Ellen Home for Boys from 1963 to 1965 I was a resident in the same dorm That John Trahan was in. I went to live with the Cosebooms who were on the Lark Ellen Board. I have written a book about my experience in the home. I would very much like to make contact with anyone from the years I was there. I like to make contact with Dixie Coseboom, or Craig Jones, another boy from my dorm.

I lost my family early in life. The home was the only real family that I ever had. I would like to hear from anyone who knows me. I would also like to know what happened to everyone, to the home, to C. J. Miller and his son.

I came there in 1962 and graduated in 1965. I was that year's Student of the Year and got the scholarship award. My handle at the home was "The Professor." I was also the home's track star, sprinter, long jumper and anchored the relay team. We went undefeated during my time there. I was the home's fastest man.
