Ron (Phil) Rogers Story - My Stay at the Lark Ellen Home for Boys - 1958- 1960

I was at Lark Ellen from 1958 to 1960. My name was Phil Rogers then. Ma and Pop Boyer were my first house parents and then Ma Case's was my House Mother. I was friends with Bruce Evens, Johnny Martinez, Steve Hoyt, Gary Carpenter, Buddy Wright, Cy Smith and a lot of other guys.

I went to Glendora High and I have a lot of good memories of being at Lark Ellen. Remember the Chicken-a-la-King on Sundays after church. I always looked forward to it. Also remember having to jog around the home on public streets in out underwear first thing in the morning? Funny now.

I live in Sacramento now and work for the State of California.
