Flowers Growing at our Home

Candytuft, Alec White

Iberis sempervirens Perennial. Grows 8 in. to 1 to 1 1/2 foot high, spreading about as wide. Leaves narrow, shiny dark green, good looking all year. Flower clusters pure white, on stems long enough for bouquets. Plants bloom early spring to June, but flowers may appear as early as November in mild areas. Ours began to bloom in March. Popular name is Alexander's White. We have about 14 of these along the stone retaining wall in the front yard. Most are doing well; three are looking sad but will recover.
