Flowers Growing at our Home Chives Chives Liliaceae Small, clump-forming, perennial onion relative. Leaves are grass like in general appearance but round and hollow in cross-section. Used in cooking as garnish or add to salads, cream cheese, cottage cheese, egg dishes, gravies, and soups for delicate onion-like flavor. We use a scissors to clip and use these in our Chinese cooking. We have one clump in a small area next to the garage. Provides lots of garnish for us. ⇦ Back to Previous Flower On to Next Flower ⇨Hi-Res Pic (248K) |
