Skimmia Japonica

Skimmia Japonica - Variable in size. Slow growth to 2-5 feet high, 3-6 feet wide. Flowers fragrant, in 2-3-inch clusters. Female plants bear bright red berries if male plant is present. We have four female and one male plant in our front yard. In 2001 the male died probably from having to pollinate four females. We have replaced him and hope he is more virulent and can stand the strain.
