Wartberry Fairybell

Disporum trachycarpum (Lily Family) This beautiful woodland plant, with stems branched in a forked manner, has 1 or 2 small creamy white, narrowly bell-shaped flowers hanging beneath the leaves at the ends of branches. Flowers may through June. Found in wooded areas often near streams. Ours grow in our shaded wooded area. Fruit: round berry about 3/8 Inches wide, at first yellow, becoming red. It ranges from British Columbia to northeastern Oregon; east to North Dakota; south through the Rocky Mountain region to southern Arizona and western New Mexico.
