Trees Growing at Our Pleasant Hill Oregon Home Oregon White Maple Acermacrophyllum Pursh Native to the west coast of North America from California to Alaska, sometimes grown in parks. It is a large tree to 100ft (30m). Flowers form a long spike (10 inches) opening in April. The keys have wings 2 inches long joined at about 90 degrees. Leaves are unusually large and turn orange colors in autumn. In the spring we have many thousands of tiny new maple trees growing everywhere. There are many mature trees around our property to heights of 60 to 80 feet. This tree had been cut down by previoys owners. It has sprouted from the stump. Six vigorous sprouts have grown up. We have trimmed them to four of the best. On to Next Tree ⇨Hi-Res Pic (245K) Return to Trees - Page 3 Return to Alphabetic List |
