11. Pleasant Hill Fire Department and Emergency Services

A little way east of the Pleasant Hill shopping Center is the Pleasant Hill Fire Department. They have responded very quickly to our call of a fire when a power line broke and started a fire at our house. They have also been to our house of two occasions when we needed an ambulance. Lane Country has a service called "Fire Med." For 39 dollars a year ambulance service is free for members. Where we live it could cost you over a $2,500 otherwise. They made it to our house in record time when I had a gall bladder attack. The Fire Chief is a nice guy and has been helpful to us as well. The department has an annual hot dog feed each year for all of the area people.
