23. Pleasant Hill Billies

This is our Pleasant Hill High School Football team, the Pleasant Hill Billies. Before we moved to Pleasant Hill I thought the name meant that they were "Country Yokels" from the town of Pleasant. I discovered that they are the "Billies" (Billy Goats) from Pleasant Hill. In 2000 the football team was second in the state championship playoffs. We hope they will come in first in 2001. So far (November) they are undefeated and ranked "Number One" in the state 3A classifications. Bernice and I go to all of the games. The best $2 entertainment in town. Alas the state playoff game was played at Oregon State Beavers Stadium and they lost to another fine team. So they are second in the state again.
