On January 17, 2002, we had one of our rare snowstorms here in Pleasant Hill. It will about snow every ten years. We had about 4 inches of snow in the night. When this picture was taken, the snow had stopped for a while. Because we had no electricity and thus no water we left for the Pleasant Hill Dairy Queen for breakfast. While there the snow began to fall even harder. By the time we got home we had to rescue the retractable awning. The snow had piled up on the awning and threatened to collapse. But we lowered it in time.
