A Black Bear Visits Us - 39

Last year we experienced trouble with bears. They had raided our garbage cans several times and we resorted by keeping the garbage in the garage for a few weeks. One late afternoon as I relaxed in my chair in our Great Room I glanced over to the sliding glass door facing out on our deck. What did I see but a big black bear looking back at me. He had walked out on our deck. I am not sure who was more surprised the bear or me. I leaped to my feet, and just as quickly the bear quickly leaped over the rail of the deck and ran off.
