Noll Shop in Pleasant Hill, Oregon 4. DR Road Grader Diagram Here we show clearly how the rig is to work. The adjustable scarifying carbide teeth rough up the ground. This is followed by the rear scraper blades the level out the roughed up gravel/dirt. The patented side plates prevent the gravel from merely being pushed to the sides. The rear scraper is not too high so excess gravel simply flows over the top. The lifting mechanism allows fine control over how deep you scarify by lift/lowering the front wheels. The tongue allows the rig to follow the ground and not lift or raise as the tractor goes over bumps. A special sheer bolt is used to break if too much resistance is encountered while pulling such as hitting a big rock or pavement. Weight up to 70 pounds can be placed in the tray when grading hard pack to begin the scarifying and removed when the parent material is loosened or in muddy or sandy soil. The length of the tow bar is adjustable. Hi-Res Pic (74K) |
