13. 2X8 Belt Sander - Sears Craftsman

This strip sander come in quite handy to sand irregular items. A vacuum hose is hooked up to this tool to remove the saw dust. The gate valve sits just to the right of the machine for ease of use. After seeing how my son modified his sander we built the table for our sander. The switch in front of the table turns on the saw and the light at the same time. We added the tray to hold parts waiting to be sanded. A switch on the tray also allows you to turn on the dust vacuum conveniently. Because we have some five switches for the dust vacuum they all have been labeled. Our 2X8 Belt Sander is a Sears Craftsman Model 351.22638.
