Chet Leland Noll's Eighth Birthday

Chet was a most serious young boy. He was exceptionally bright and always did well in his schoolwork. I don't recall ever having to make him to do his homework. He enjoyed learning and wanted to know how things worked. He liked to help his Dad work on things and learn how to use tools. His Dad bought him a hammer when he was young. Also Dad got him a big keg of nails and a big block of wood. Both he and Landon spent a lot of time pounding nails. Chet liked to make things. On Chet's eighth birthday he was 50.5-inches high. He had gained 2 3/4 inches in the last year. Chet is 12 inches higher than his little brother Landon.
