Chet Leland Noll's Tenth Birthday

Picture 5

Chet is excited to see a new watch for his present this year. As a young man with more responsibilities, he needs to be able to keep time better. Chet took his responsibilities very seriously. In the background is an oil painting Mom took in an art class at Lewis and Clark College in Portland. She went there to get her teaching credential for the State of Oregon. Bernice tells me now that the professor only gave her a "D" on it because she didn't "Throw" the paint. "Nonsense", said Dad, "I like it." And up it went on the wall.
