Landon was born at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Walnut Creek. We stayed home as long as possible and he was very close to being born at the time we got there. He was born at 00:47 in the morning. He was five weeks early so he was small enough so Mom had just 4 hours of labor. Bernice spent three days in the hospital. Landon was almost 5 pounds 13.5 oz. but 20 inches long. He looked like a skinny monkey. He had to eat every two hours because he was trying to catch up on his weight. He was a happy baby as long as he was fed regularly. But when he was hungry he let everybody know about it. At 10 days he was up to 6 lbs. 5.5 oz. At 5 weeks he was up to 9 lbs. 5.5 oz. At 2.5 months he was up to 11 lbs. 8 oz. At 3.5 months he was up to 13 lbs. 6 oz. At 5.5 months he was up to 15 lbs. 7.5 oz. At 7 months he was up to 17 lbs. At 12.5 months he was up to 22 lbs. 5 oz. and 31.5 inches long.
