30. Landon's 4H Presentation "A Chicken Dinner" Landon's "A Chicken Dinner" After we moved to Fairview Avenue up on the hill above Hayward, California, because we had several acres, we acquired some livestock. We had chickens, geese, sheep, bees and two cats. The boys joined 4H and Paul became a 4H leader. The boys both joined the sheep project, and some others. One thing that 4H emphasizes is making presentations before an audience. Each member is encouraged to give a presentation at which they are judged and graded. I encouraged them both to do these presentations. I think that it is important for kids to learn the skills to give a speech before and audience. It is a skill that will suffice them in good standing for the rest of their life. |
