3. Sea Lion Caves Gift Shop and Entrance to Caves

This 12-story tall sea cave is called the hauling area. With an entrance at 208 feet down the face of the cliff, it is one of the largest in the world, and is home to Steller Sea Lions primarily during the fall and winter months. This picture shows the gift shop. Inside you have the opportunity to take an elevator down into the cave itself. They have provided ample parking including an area for big RVs. The morning we went had an overcast sky with light rain.
