City of Depoe Bay, Oregon 5. Depoe Bay Harbor South End This picture shows the south end of the harbor. The froth shown at the bottom comes from the entrance to this 6-acre harbor. Your visit to the "Whale Watching Capital of the Oregon Coast" can be a memorable one. Depoe Bay has a resident pod of gray whales, which makes its home here 10 months out of the year. Visitors from everywhere come to whale watch either from many shore observation spots or to take one of the charters out for a closer look. There is nothing quite so spectacular as seeing whales in their natural habitat. The charters, weather permitting, run every hour seven days a week ⇦ Back to Page 4 On to Page 6 ⇨Hi-Res Pic (140K) Return to Depoe Bay Page 1 |
