Heceta Head Lighthouse State Park, Oregon Coast 6. Lighthouse Keeper's House The Queen Anne style Keeper's House has been restored to its original splendor. It now serves as an Interpretive Center by day and a Bed and Breakfast by night. The B & B welcomes guests year around. Guests are encouraged to view the lighthouse after dark, a rare experience. The awesome sight in the sky while standing at the base of the tower can only be described as "Magical." It is an experience you will never forget. It is so inspiring that it often leads to such life changing events as marriage proposals. The Keeper's House is perched on a cliff with a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean and the beach below. Paths from the Keeper's House lead both to the beach and to the lighthouse. A seven-course gourmet breakfast is served each morning in the dining room and is included in the price of the room. The bed and breakfast has been featured in the Sunset Magazine, Oregon Coast Magazine, Gourmet Magazine, The New York Times, and on PBS Television to name just a few. ⇦ Back to Page 5 On to Page 7 ⇨Return to Heceta Head - Page 1 |
