4. At the Trailhead

Mom takes the time to show something interesting to the boys. We always took time out to point out trees, flowers and items of interest to the boys. Today both know much about these things and in many cases more than the parents. We think that perhaps we might have fostered an interest in the ecology and nature in both boys. We alway carried small books on trees, flowers, birds and bugs to help identify things.
