Fort Steven's State Park, Near Astoria, Oregon 20. You could get Wet Off U.S. 101, west of Astoria on the north Oregon coast near the mouth of the Columbia River. Site of ex-military fort built during Civil War. Historic area has gun batteries, museum. Special events include Civil War re-enactments. Access to miles of ocean beach. The campground is the largest in the state park system and is open year-round. Fort Stevens has 213 full hookup campsites, 130 electric equipped sites, 261 tent sites (maximum RV length 50'), 2 yurts, and hiker/biker camps. Trailer dump station is available as are showers.
