23. The Climb up Cinder Cone

This afternoon we decided to climb to the top of Cinder Cone. The trail consists of cinders where you take a step up and slide back half-a-step. While somewhat steep the climb remains pleasant and the view at the top splendid. The hike thrilled the boys.
