Yellowstone NP 8. Firehole River The river derives its name from the steam (which they thought was smoke from fires) witnessed by early trappers to the area. This river flows along the area just east of the lodge and Old Faithful Geyser. Fed from many geysers and springs. ⇦ Back to Page On to Page 9 ⇨Hi-Res Pic (114K) Return to Yellowstone - Page 1 |
