Leaf Arrangement Basal Rosette

Flower books will help you identify plant by giving you the leaf arrangement for individual plants. Some will give different names for the leaf structure. Here we give names from several different books.

Basal Rosette - The leaves are grouped from a central point in a circular shape. A ground-level arrangement of leaves (single or multiple layers) around the plant's central stem where it joins the roots. Most biennials have a rosette form during their first growing season.
