Wildflowers Found in Oregon Spearleaf Agoseris Agoseris retrorsa - Uncommon, all summer, perennial, 4-20 in. Erect plant, stout stems with soft hairs especially on leaves and base of flower head. Exudes a milky sap. Leaves numerous, linear to oblong, to 14 in. Deeply pinnately divided leaf lobes mostly point back toward center of plant and end in long spear-like tips. Inflorescence consists of yellow ray flowers in a deep cup formed by 3 rows of bracts. Cup has reddish markings. Grows in all dry habitats at low to high elevations. Native.
