Western Wood Anemone

Anemone lyallii - Uncommon, midspring-early summer, perennial, 4-6 in. Stem erect, with 3 leaves whorled at midstem. Leaf with long petiole, divided into leaflets with rounded coarse teeth. Flowers small, petal-like sepals less than 1/2 in. long, pale blue, white, or pink, with fewer than 35 stamens. Grows in wet openings, moist forests, from coast to subalpine. Native.
