Blue-mountain Buttercup

Ranunculus populago - Locally common, early summer, perennial, 3-12 in. Tuft. Stems erect, shiny, with few branches. Lower leaves with 103 in. long petioles, widely heart to egg-shaped, with tiny teeth or entire; upper leaves smaller. Flowers yellow, with petals to 1/4 in long. Grows in wet meadows, along streams, at high elevations.
