Scaly Vase Chanterelle

Gomphus floccosus - Vase-shaped, yellow, orange, or reddish mushroom, coarsely scaly on top and within; outer surface wrinkled to blunt-ridged, yellowish to ochre. Mushroom: 2-6 in wide at top, 3-8 in. high; cylindrical and blunt at first, broadening and becoming deeply sunken to funnel-shaped. Flesh thin to fairly thick, whitish. Season; Late June to September
