Sticky Cinquefoil

Potentilla glandulosa - Common, all summer, perennial, 1-3 ft. Upright, with hairs ending in sticky glands. Basal leaves pinnately divided into 5-9 widely oval leaflets, the end leaflet the largest, teeth cutting 1/4-1/2 of the way to midvein. Flowers in loose cluster with leaf bracts. Petals oval, yellow to cream, varying in length from shorter to longer than sepals. Grows below 10,000 ft. Native.
