Wildflowers Found in Oregon Few Flowered Clover (Small Head Clover, Maiden Clover, Hairy Clover) Trifolium microcephalum - Locally common, late spring -- early summer, annual, 4-15 in. Tuft erect, hairless. Stem leaves sparse. Leaf with toothed stipules, 3 leaflets about 1/2 in. long. Flower head contains 5-15 flowers, each in calyx divided almost to base, lobes sharply pointed. Flower petals only slightly longer than calyx lobes, usually tricolored; pink, dark magenta, and white. Groes in open woods, along roads, at low elevations. Native.
