Philadelphia Daisy (Pink Fleabane)

Erigeron philadelphicus - Common, early summer, biennial or perennial, 1-4 ft. Erect. Stems hairless or with long spreading hairs. Basal leaves oblong to egg-shaped, 3-6 in. long, with few teeth; stem leaves lance to egg-shaped and clasping stem, not much smaller than basal leaves. Flower heads single too many at stem top. Ray flowers 150 to many, white or pinkish, somewhat twisting. Fisk flowers yellow. Grows in moist places in forests, along streams, at low elevations. Native.
